What is a Domain?
Wanting to give an exact definition of what a domain is, a comparison with our homes could be used: where the internet domain name (www.domainname) represents the home address and the suffix (it, .com, .net, .org etc) represents the house number.
Wanting to think, instead, of a more specific definition of what a web domain is, we should simply say that it is a unique address through which a website is called upon the network.
The web domain is also known as a domain name or DNS (Domain name System) and, in technical jargon, a specific recognition system that professionals, registers, associated with a specific web space through specific requests to world registers.
How To Get A Free Top Level Domain
1. Go to the site and click Start for free https://smallbusiness.yahoo.com/businessmaker/payitforward
2. Choose any category of business and come up with a name (I chose a name similar to the domain name)
3. After that enter the details registration mail, name, last name, the password then clicks on next.
4.Now you can use any card for this step I will prefer you to use a VCC of airtel app or irctc imudra app. they will not charge anything (anything means nothing)
Instead of using a card, you can use PayPal also. Now, confirm mail in your mailbox.
after doing the above steps, go to the Online tab -> Domain -> Claim your Domain
5. Select the domain name you can choose any available domain, as I said its totally free for a year.
Go further, Fill all the information again and click Submit. After this step you will receive a confirmation mail on your registered email
6. Follow the link and click Verify my Information, Go to the site
https://dashboard.yahoosmallbusiness.com
Click Online -> Domain
And we see that our domain is registered.
